Bblunt Blown Away Volumizing Leave-in Hair Spray Review

Bblunt Blown Away Volumizing Leave-in Spray

Since the last few months, my hair has lost its volume due to change in diet, medication and weather. There’s nothing worse than wavy-curly hair that lacks volume. ☹ I started experimenting with a lot of different products and the one that stuck with me was the Bblunt Blown Away Volumizing leave-in hair spray. I’m still looking for a better product out there but in the meanwhile, I’m really liking this product. The product claims to be specially created for Indian hair which in my opinion is pretty vague considering the crazy amount of hair types we have in India. So let’s get to the review to find out if this product worked for me.

Price & Packaging
The leave-in hair spray comes in a cute and fancy yellow plastic bottle and is priced at INR 550 for 150 ml. The price point is a little too steep for 150 ml of product in my opinion. On the plus side, there’s a decent amount of product in every pump and it sprays evenly.

Fragrance and Texture
The fragrance is very citrusy with notes of jasmine. Although I hate jasmine scents, the scent in this hair spray isn’t overpowering and fades away beautifully within an hour. The texture is non-greasy, non-sticky and doesn’t harden the hair.

My Experience With This Volumizing Hair Spray

I spray this on my towel-dried hair starting at the roots till mid-way of the hair length. I prefer naturally drying my hair because its curly and the blow dryer messes up my curls. Once my hair is completely dry I can feel the volume and bounce in my hair and I love it! This volumizing leave-in hair spray works really well with my wavy-curly hair type. ? (Extra tip – for further definition of my wavy-curly hair, I apply the Loreal Extraordinary Oil Replacement Cream on my towel dried hair a few minutes after using this hair spray)

When I want to straighten my hair, I use a blow dryer after using this volumizing hair spray and the volume is MASSIVE! Blow-drying adds a lot more volume as compared to naturally drying my hair when using this hair spray.

On naturally dried hair or blow-dried hair, the volume stays on for an entire day and the product doesn’t feel heavy at all. Another brownie point is that this hair spray does not contain parabens and is not tested on animals! 😀

Bblunt Blown Away Volumizing Leave-in Hair Spray Review

While it does live up to its claim of volumizing the hair, it does not live up to its claim of protecting the hair from heat damage and styling. I use a separate cream for protecting my hair from the heat of blow-drying and straightening. If the brand is going to claim such a statement, they should deliver too. C’mon! :\

Pros of Bblunt Blown Away Volumizing Leave-in Spray

  • Stylish, sturdy and travel-friendly packaging
  • The citrusy fragrance is subtle which fades away within an hour
  • Adds 5 times more volume to the hair which stays on for 24 hours
  • Works on naturally dried hair as well as blow-dried hair
  • Does not contain parabens
  • Small amount is needed per application (no product wastage! 😀 )
  • The brand does not test on animals! YAY cruelty-free! 😀

Cons of Bblunt Blown Away Volumizing Leave-in Spray

  • INR 550 for 150 ml is a little expensive considering the quantity
  • Does not protect hair from heat and styling damage at all.

I’m still on the look-out for more hair sprays as such; if you have any recommendations please leave a comment below. And if you’re looking for some more cruelty-free product reviews, click on the cruelty free beauty tag below. 🙂
