Soultree Lip Balm Lotus and Kokum Butter Review

Soultree Lip Balm – Lotus and Kokum Butter Review

I’m finally back with a new product review today after 2 whole weeks. If you’ve been following my Instagram account, you’ll know that I’ve been travelling and moving into a new house. This is pretty much why I haven’t written a blog review these past 2 weeks. 😊 The product I’m going to review today is the Soultree Lip Balm which I bought along with a few more Soultree products in my haul 2 weeks ago.

The Soultree lip balms come in two variations – Lotus & Kokum Butter and the other one is Viola & Kokum Butter. I picked up the Lotus & Kokum Butter one just because I liked the pink packaging better than the purple one! 😛

Price and Packaging –

The Soultree lip balm is around 100 rupees more expensive than a Labello, Maybelline Baby Lips or Nivea lip balm and costs INR 295. The lip balm comes in a tiny cardboard package with all the product description on it. The cutest part about this lip balm is that it doesn’t have a plastic container and has an eco-friendlier option of hard cardboard. 😊 The entire packaging is completely recyclable!

My Experience Using the Soultree Lip Balm –

I have a lot of lip balms here and there around my room because a girl can simply never have ENOUGH lip balms! 😀 But honestly, I bought this lip balm only because it was 100% organic, chemical free, cruelty free and vegetarian. I’m trying to use products from Brands that are more ethical and natural which is why Soultree is the perfect brand for my skincare and beauty needs. The Soultree products are Ayurvedic, cruelty-free and are free from parabens, lead, carmine, petroleum and chemicals.

This Soultree lip balm contains organic ghee, Kokum butter and 7 cold-pressed essential oils – Castor, Sunflower, Coconut, Olive, Apricot, Almond and Grapeseed oils along with the essence of Pink Lotus. The combination of these ingredients works beautifully on my lips and does not make them very greasy or cause any break outs on the area around my lips. Believe me when I say that this lip balm is PHENOMENAL! With just 2 applications, my lips were instantly softer, smoother, plumper and moisturized. No lip balms, be it Neutrogena, Labello, Nivea, Maybelline Baby Lips or Lakme can even come close to the Soultree lip balm. It has also reduced the pigmentation on my lips.

Generally, a lot of Ayurvedic products tend to have very strong fragrances. The Soultree lip balm’s fragrance is very mild which disappears within a couple of hours.

The only improvement that I would like Soultree to make in their lip balms is to add a bit of natural red tint. This way, it can be used as a replacement for lip gloss or lipstick.  That being said, the lack of tint is not going to stop me from restocking Soultree lip balms! I’m definitely going to check out the Viola variation of this lip balm. 🙂
