Wet n Wild Megaglo Highlighter - Catwalk Pink Review

Wet n Wild Megaglo Highlighter Review

During my hunt for good highlighters in Bahrain a few months ago, I purchased this Wet n Wild Megaglo Highlighter in the shade ‘Catwalk Pink’. I never really got to trying on this highlighter until last week. Yes, I’m very careless like that; I purchase new makeup and forget it even exists. I seriously need to organize all my makeup! 😀

Alright so here’s a short review on this highlighter to help you decide whether you should purchase this product or not.

Price and Packaging
I bought this in Bahrain for around BD 2.5 (INR 430 approx.) for 11.5 grams of product. For the cheaper price point, the quantity of product is really good!

Texture and Pigmentation
This Wet n Wild highlighter is super soft to touch however, it is quiet powdery. The pigmentation is pretty good but not the best as compared to the other Wet n Wild highlighters.

My Experience Using This Wet n Wild Megaglo Highlighter –

This highlighter works beautifully on my Indian skin tone especially the bronze shade. I absolutely LOVE the bronze shade and also use it as an eyeshadow. The lighter shades are quite powdery and leave a cakey finish on my cheekbones and boy does it look bad! 🙁 I cannot apply this highlighter with my fingers because it is super powdery, so I use a fan brush instead. A highlighter or fan brush works really well for applying this highlighter  and blending it. It doesn’t look powdery when applied this way. DO NOT try to layer this highlighter because it will just end up looking super ashy.

When all the colors are swirled together, the shade is so gorgeous and pigmented! 😀 It turns into a beautiful rose gold color with delicate shimmer. This Wet n Wild Megaglow highlighter is best for a subtle highlighting look for day time or for a simple makeup look for everyday office work.

With flash on

I have a love-hate relationship with this highlighter. I really do like the fact that it is cruelty free, paraben free and so affordable for the quality and quantity but I just wish it wasn’t so powdery. The staying power is pretty average as well and the highlighter doesn’t stay on for long in humid weather conditions either. Also, the packaging is not very sturdy and I’m pretty sure I’ll shatter my entire highlighter if I drop it just once. 🙁

Recently, Nykaa India started selling Wet n Wild products on their website for really affordable prices within India. Forget the expensive shipping and customs, head on to their website and shop the entire Wet n Wild range without making a huge hole in your pocket!

Here’s Why You Should Try Out This Wet n Wild Megaglo Highlighter-

  • The combination of shades works perfectly on the Indian/Middle Eastern/Asian skin tones
  • Perfect for subtle highlighting
  • Cruelty free beauty!
  • Super affordable for the quantity
  • Can be used as an eyeshadow as well

Here’s Why You Might Want to Skip this Megaglo highlighter altogether –

  • The highlighter is quite powdery and looks cakey when applied
  • Average staying power and does not withstand humidity
  • Super delicate packaging

Overall, I recommend purchasing the e.l.f baked highlighter in Moonlight Pearls  over this Wet n Wild Megaglo highlighter which is cheaper, has better staying power and not powdery at all. Would I repurchase this Wet n Wild Megaglo highlighter? Definitely NOT.
